Threefold

Match three, peel back the layers, beat the clock.

Threefold is a sorting puzzle about tidy shelves and messy piles. Drag the little pixel-art characters between floating islands. When a shelf holds three of the same kind, they pop, and the layer stacked behind them slides forward. Clear every layer before time runs out.

It's easy to pick up. Then the islands start locking, the shelves start moving, and apples start rotting.

How it plays

• Drag and drop characters between shelves. Drop onto an occupied slot to swap.
• Match three of a kind on one shelf to pop it and reveal the layer behind.
• Chain your clears. Popping shelves quickly builds a combo multiplier for bonus coins.
• Unlock islands. Some start locked and only open after enough shelves have popped elsewhere.

5,000 stages, new ideas all the way

Each stage is built from its number, so every player gets the same board, and a stage you lose replays exactly as it was. New mechanics keep arriving from stage 10 to stage 190, and each one comes with a short playable lesson:

• Island sizes: pairs, quads and quints as well as triples. A 4 goes on a 4.
• Crates that take up two slots, and coins you tap to collect
• Rotting apples, angry heroes and fragile pieces that change the longer you leave them
• Parcels that stay wrapped until a neighbour pops, and bonded pairs chained together
• Carousel rows that scroll and wrap around the screen
• Neighbour locks, directed locks and fragile shelves that fall once emptied
• Shopping lists on endless boards, move budgets, and stages with a clock, a move limit, both or neither

Jokers

Spend your coins on power-ups, then upgrade them for good:

• Frozen: stops the clock
• Clone: turns random pieces into a single kind
• Hint: shows you a triple you can make
• Lightning: zaps whole groups off the island you aim at
• Extra Life: a second chance when time or moves run out

Dress your hero

Every level-up earns a chest. Chests drop outfits, jokers and upgrades in four tiers: Normal, Rare, Legendary and Mythic. Choose from 181 garments in the Dressing Room, and find one of 12 tools (swords, axes and pickaxes, from Wooden to Diamond). Tools give passive bonuses to coins, XP and chest luck.
